De Martino, Chile’s pioneer winery par excellence, is reinventing the concept of Chilean wine by producing wines that are a true reflection of their origin.
This Carmenère comes from the De Martino vineyards in Isla de Maipo. They are planted on alluvial soils with gravel-sandy-clay textures, excellent drainage, and poor fertility, which naturally controls plant growth and results in wines with intense aromas of ripe red fruits and black pepper. The palate shows good body and has a long finish. Serve at 16ºC (61°F).

This line is the result of encouraging the quality and typicity of a valley.
Because the concept of origin is the priority of the Legado line, grapes from different vineyards in the same valley but with different soil and climate characteristics may be blended while respecting the typicity of origin.
All of the wines in this line except the Sauvignon Blanc are aged in French oak barrels for 12 to 14 months.
